Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies seize over 3 lbs. of heroin Wednesday

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office says their Special Enforcement Team seized about 1,460.96 gram (3.22 lbs.) of heroin packaged for sale this past Wednesday morning.

The deputies found the drugs after serving a search warrant on the 2000 Block of 7th Avenue. They also found multiple loaded firearms.

Deputies arrested Joseph Watts, who is a convicted felon, for unlawful possession of narcotics for sale, possession of a controlled substance with a loaded firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
