Hollister fire chief reports recent string of arsons

HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION) The San Benito County Sheriff's Office released a message from Hollister Fire Chief Bob Martin Del Campo describing a string of recent "suspicious" fires.

Del Campo said there have been more than 14 human act or arson fires. He later wrote that there have been 8 intentional fires, and we are reaching out to him for more clarification..

As of January, Del Campo said the department has responded to 92 fires, which includes 8 intentional, 25 unintentional, 11 undetermined, 11 cause undetermined after investigation, 10 equipment failure and 3 act of nature ignitions.
