SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A Fresno County man initially arrested on kidnapping and attempted rape charges has been re-arrested in Salinas.

Last week, 30-year-old Fabian Ornelas allegedly used Tinder to get a woman to meet up with him using the name "Dominick." After matching with a woman, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said Ornelas arranged to meet her in person, but forced himself on her and tried to rape her when she tried to leave. The woman was able to get away and report it to law enforcement.

Ornelas was arrested in Fresno on June 13, but was released the next day when he posted more than $240,000 in bail.

Detectives got information that there could be more victims, so they put out a statement asking any other victims to come forward. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said more potential victims have come forward, so an arrest warrant was issued for Ornelas.

He was found in Salinas after allegedly fleeing Fresno County and re-arrested on sexual assault charges. He is booked into the Fresno County Jail.

Tinder has removed Ornelas' profile.

Anyone who believes they may be a victim or have more information is asked to contact Sgt. Chad Stokes at 559-600-8144.
