Crews respond to fire at Henry Cowell State Redwoods Park

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION)

UPDATE 6/10/2020 1:30 p.m.The City of Santa Cruz said Cal Fire responded to a fire at Henry Cowell State Redwoods Park Wednesday morning.

Some agencies have called it the Pogonip Fire, but the city said it is not in the Pogonip.

PREVIOUS STORY: Crews say they are working to contain a fire at the Pogonip Wednesday.

According to the Felton Fire Protection District, it is just over two acres with a slow rate of spread in dense redwood duff.

Smoke in the area may be heavy at times.
