City of Monterey closing streets for Black Lives Matter protest
MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) The City of Monterey said there will be street closures Tuesday due to a planned Black Lives Matter protest.
The protest is expected to start at noon at Colton Hall Lawn.
The city said Pacific Street will be closed from Madison to Jefferson, and Madison Street will be closed from Pacific to Van Buren.
Garages, parking lots and on-street parking downtown and near the waterfront will also be free all day with no time restrictions.
