Salinas PD find AK-47 in pulled over car

SALINAS, Calif. (KION) The Salinas Police Department confiscated an assault rifle on Thursday after officers pulled over a car for a window tint violation.

Officers found an AK-47 in the trunk of the vehicle.

20-year-old Miguel Banuelos and 22-year-old Christian Castro were arrested for several firearms-related charges and booked into the Monterey County Jail.
