MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) A Scotts Valley kindergartner is using her art to "help save the fishies."

The Monterey Bay Aquarium said 6-year-old Rosella Perlitch is raising money for the aquarium because she misses visiting and wants to help the animals.

Rosella is selling drawings on stickers, and so far, the aquarium said she has raised more than $750.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is currently closed to visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Aquarium officials told KION last month that they were laying off 93 employees and furloughing and additional 128 employees due to financial struggles.
