Soledad PD investigating shooting on Friday

SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION) The Soledad Police Department is investigating an incident involving a knife-wielding suspect that happened on the 1200 block of Palm Avenue on Friday, May 15, 2020, at around 9:30 p.m.

According to police, a suspect attacked a 23-year-old victim with a knife at that time, but the victim was able to fire two shots from a revolver against the suspect.

The suspect was injured and ran away. The victim was not injured.

Police believe the victim, who is from Soledad, was targeted, but investigators are still trying to figure out if the altercation is gang-related.
