Central Coast residents flock to beaches Saturday

Central Coast residents flocked to the beach today to enjoy the warm weather… this is . While the city's partial beach closure prohibits lounging, patrons are out there set up in groups. Some visitors say they're being careful to socially distance while enjoying the sun.

"The police went through a few times and haven't gave anybody any trouble, so I think we're doing good," says Lindsay Bolin a Monterey Municipal Beach visitor.

The city's order regarding beaches says that passive uses of the space could land you a $1,000 fine. Active uses like jogging, are allowed.
