Two arrested for allegedly stealing from Watsonville business

WATSONVILLE, Calif. (KION) Watsonville police said two people are facing several charges for reportedly stealing from a business. The incident was caught on camera.

Police released surveillance footage of a man going through the business' window before cash was stolen early Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Rodriguez Street.

Officers identified 41-year-old Raul Diaz as the suspect and 30-year-old Marlyn Uribe as his accomplice. Officers to pulled them over and arrested them Tuesday night.

Police said the majority of the stolen money was found.

Diaz and Uribe were booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. They are charged with commercial burglary, looting during a state of emergency and conspiring to commit a felony.
