Greenfield Police: Parolee found with unregistered gun arrested

GREENFIELD, Calif. (KION) Greenfield police said a man on parole was arrested when officers found him with an unregistered gun.

Police said they pulled over a vehicle with 23-year-old Oscar Sanchez Mandujano in the passenger seat last week for a vehicle code violation. When officers found out that he was on parole, they conducted a parole search.

During the search, officers said they found an unregistered, unloaded revolver under his seat cushion.

Mandujano was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail. He is charged with being a felon in possession of a gun. The driver was cited for apparently driving without a valid driver's license.
