Santa Cruz police arrest man suspected of lurking around businesses with burglary tools

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) A man was arrested in Santa Cruz after police said he was lurking around closed businesses with burglary tools.

Officers found the suspect, 56-year-old Tyrone Abrams, at around 11 p.m. Wednesday. Police said he was riding his bike around the downtown area, violating the Shelter in Place order.

Police said Abrams is on probation for burglary. He was arrested for allegedly having drug paraphernalia, having meth, having burglary tools, misappropriating lost property and having counterfeit money.
