Two people dead after car crash in Corralitos

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) Two people are dead after a car crash Saturday afternoon in Corralitos.

The California Highway Patrol said the black and white custom convertible Cobra kit car went off the road on Eureka Canyon Rd, south of Geronimo Way. The car reportedly then hit a tree and over turned.

The CHP said a 64-year-old male driver and 24-year-old female passenger died of their injuries. Both were from Corralitos.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
