Everyone entering Presidio of Monterey required to have mask

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) Starting Friday morning, everyone who enters the Presidio of Monterey must have a face covering.

The Presidio said there will be security personnel at gates that will check to make sure anyone who enters has one. It includes all military personnel, civilian employees, family members contractors and anyone else on the installation.

Anyone who does not have a face covering with them will not be allowed to enter.

The Presidio said the move is to meet the Secretary of Defense directive for preserving the force's health.
