Man arrested after report of stolen vehicle on Highway 9

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) A man was arrested in connection to a report of a stolen vehicle in Santa Cruz County early Thursday morning.

At around 3 a.m., deputies with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office were called to the 5000 block of Highway 9 for a report of a vehicle theft.

Shortly after the call, a deputy found the vehicle and detained a suspect, Cody Meyer.

The Sheriff's Office said Meyer appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested and the vehicle was returned to its owner.
