Drone video shows eerily quiet view of Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) Since March 16, Santa Cruz County has been under a Shelter in Place order, and it has left the streets unusually quiet.

Right now, only essential businesses in the County are allowed to remain open and residents are asked to leave their homes only for essential activities. Even parks and beaches are closed until 11:59 p.m. on April 15.

With many businesses and attractions closed, Santa Cruz seems quieter than usual.
