SALINAS, Calif. (KION) Two men who police said are gang members are behind bars and facing attempted murder charges after they allegedly shot at a home.

It happened just before 9:15 Monday night. Salinas officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 700 block of Williams Road.

There they got information about several shots being fired at a house and a description of a suspect vehicle. The vehicle was described as a black Cadillac with two men inside last seen leaving the area.

Nobody was injured at the home, according to police.

Shortly after the shooting, officers saw a vehicle matching the description near Williams Road and Alisal Street. Police conducted a high-risk traffic stop and arrested the driver, Luis Trejo, and the passenger, Jose Guadalupe Aguilera. Police said Aguilera had a loaded gun.

Both were taken to the Monterey County Jail and charged with attempted murder, possession of a concealed gun and participation in a gang.
