Registered sex offender arrested in Salinas for reportedly following two girls
SALINAS, Calif. (KION) A registered sex offender was arrested Wednesday morning after he reportedly followed two young girls.
Police said they got a call about the man following them and asking if they wanted food at around 9:40 a.m. in the 200 block of W. San Luis Street.
When officers got there, they said the man, 35-year-old Jose Tinajero, ran away and barricaded himself in a nearby restaurant. K-9 Charro caught him, and officers arrested him.
The man was booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges that include annoying or molesting a minor, resisting arrest, violation of parole and for having a felony warrant.
