Monterey Regional Airport adds second non-stop flight to San Diego

(MONTEREY, Calif.) KION-TV -- Seattle-based Alaska Airlines is adding a second non-stop flight between Monterey Regional Airport and San Diego.
The new flight begins September 9, 2020 and is in addition to the second service between the two markets.
On that day flights will begin leaving San Diego at 4:30 p.m. and arrive to Monterey by 5:58 p.m.
The trip to San Diego would start in Monterey, departing at 6:40 p.m. and arriving in San Diego by 8:03 p.m.
"The new flight will also expand our ability to bring new visitors to our region in support of not only our hospitality industry," says Monterey Regional Airport Executive Director, Michael La Pier, "But also the military support services that call the Central Coast region home."
Alaska's sister-carrier, Horizon Air, will be providing the jet service to San Diego.
