U.S. Representative- Congressional District 20

District 20 includes all of Monterey and San Benito counties and parts of Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties.

Member of the State Assembly, District 30

District 30 includes parts of Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, San Benito and Monterey counties. Cities include Watsonville, Hollister, Salinas, Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield, King City and much of the Big Sur area.

County Supervisor, District 1

District 1 includes the northern part of San Benito County, including parts of Hollister and Hollister Valley.

Local Measures

Measure K- San Benito County Ordinance Establishing Zoning Regulations for Development within the Regional Commercial District along Highway 101 Corridor

Measure L- San Benito High School District

If passed, Measure L would authorize $30 million in bonds at legal rates, levying about 1.3 cents per $100 assessed value, amounting to $1,650,000 every year, with citizen oversight, annual audits and local funds. It would provide money for the San Benito High School District to install or construct secure school entrances, fencing and cameras, a multipurpose building, solar panels and more. It requires 55% of all voters in favor to be approved. Read the full text here.

Measure M- Aromas-San Juan Unified School District

If passed, Measure M would reauthorize $4.2 million of Aromas-San Juan Unified School District's bonds that were first approved in 2010. They would be reauthorized as new bonds with legal rates, expected yearly average levies less than $0.02 per $100 of assessed valuation through about 2031, or about $455,000 per year, with annual audits and taxpayer oversight. The bonds would be used to repair and modernize facilities, make earthquake safety upgrades and qualify for state matching funds. It requires 55% voter approval to pass. Read the full text here.

Measure R- Cabrillo Community College District

If approved, Measure R would authorize $274,100,000 in bonds for the Cabrillo Community College District at legal rates, levying $19/$100,000 assessed valuation, or about $17 million every year, while bonds are outstanding to be approved, with audits, no funding for administrators and all funds used locally. It would be used to repair and upgrade classrooms. It would be used to modernize classrooms and labs, upgrade outdated wiring and sewer lines and repairs. It requires 55% voter approval to pass.
