Police looking for burrito-throwing man in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (KION) Police in San Francisco are looking for a man who was caught on camera throwing items at restaurant employees and reportedly injuring one of them.
Police said that on the evening of Feb. 2, a man went into a restaurant on Geary Boulevard, which the CBS affiliate in San Francisco said is Gordo Taqueria, and went up to the front counter to order food. The suspect then appeared to get agitated and verbally abusive while talking to staff.
One of the employees gave the suspect a burrito, according to KPIX, to diffuse the situation, but then the man is seen on camera hitting the cashier with his cell phone, throwing the burrito and throwing a napkin dispenser, which police said hit and injured an employee. Police said he also damaged the electronic counter equipment before leaving.
The suspect is described as a Latin man between 45 and 50 years old wearing jeans and a black "SF" shirt with "BOSA 97" on the back. He is about 5'0" and 180 pounds.
