Man charged with attempted murder in connection to stabbing on Fremont Boulevard

SEASIDE, Calif. (KION) A man has been charged with attempted murder in connection to a stabbing in Seaside Thursday.

At around 2 p.m., Seaside and Sand City officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 2200 block of Fremont Boulevard and found a man with a stab wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a nearby trauma center.

Police said the suspect was seen heading south on Del Monte Boulevard into Sand City in a blue or white 1994 GMC Suburban. The vehicle was later found in Pacific Grove.

Officers said they identified several people involved, and 32-year-old Justin Patric Perdew was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was booked into the Monterey County Jail.

The incident is still under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call Seaside police at 831-899-6748.
