City of Soledad hosting open house to discuss new roadway
SOLEDAD, Calif. (KION) The city of Soledad is hosting an open house for the community to discuss the Pinnacles Parkway Project.
The project is a proposed new roadway in the southern part of the city. The city hopes that it would help with circulation conditions and improve traffic, especially around parks and schools on Metz Road. The road would extend from the end of Los Coches Drive to Metz Road.
The city said the roadway has been discussed for several years, but now much of the funding to plan and construct it is available. Soledad city officials are now in the process of considering possibilities for alignment and design.
Staff from the Community Development Department and consultants will be at the open house to give information and answer questions. The city said the purpose of the meeting is to give citizens a change to share ideas and opinions, discuss alignment alternatives and bring up any other issues of interest.
The meeting will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at San Vicente School. For more information, contact the Community and Economic Development Director, Brent Slama, at 831-223-5043.
