CHP airplane captures Santa Rosa sideshow, 4 arrested
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KION and KPIX) Three sideshows around Santa Rosa were broken up after a multi-agency response that included a CHP airplane.
A sideshow was reported at around 9:15 p.m. near Guerneville and Willowside roads. The person who reported it said the sideshow blocked the road for about 10 minutes, but everyone had left by the time officers got there, according to the CBS affiliate in the Bay Area.
About a half hour later, officers responded to a report of a sideshow near Bennett Valley Road at Yulupa Road involving about 100 vehicles.
Units on the ground and a helicopter caught up with a vehicle leaving the area, but the driver and passenger abandoned the car and got into another heading to a third sideshow near Petaluma Hill and Crane Canyon roads, according to the CHP.
The driver of the first vehicle was eventually found and arrested for participating in the sideshow along with the driver of the second vehicle, the CHP said.
Two other people were arrested, and all four vehicles were towed from the scene.
