Monterey street closures in effect Saturday for Women’s March

MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) Monterey police said there will be street closures Saturday for the 2020 Women's March.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Pacific, Calle Principal and Alvarado streets will be closed between Madison and Jefferson.

Police said extra officers will be there to help with road closures and event safety.

The event will start at Colton Hall at about 9:30 a.m. before the march at 10.
