Cold air behind the front will drop overnight lows into the low 40s and upper 30s on Monday morning. Isolated areas of Southern Monterey County could see temperatures fall into the mid 30s. Tuesday morning should be just as cold.
The next chance of rain appears on schedule to arrive Tuesday evening, with rain continuing on Christmas Day.
Sunday night: Partly cloudy. Lows near the coast will be in the mid to upper 40s. Valley temperatures will drop into the mid and upper 30s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
Monday: Mostly cloudy in the morning, then becoming sunny. Highs in the upper 50s. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest 10-15 mph in the afternoon.
