Monterey, Pacific Grove libraries accept food donations as alternative to fines

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey Public Library and the Pacific Grove Public Library announced that they will accept food donations as an alternative to overdue fines in December.

Between the first and thirty-first of the month, overdue fines can be paid off with unopened, non-perishable food that will be given to local food banks.

Donations can be brought to the Monterey or Pacific Grove Public Library or the Monterey Public Library Bookmobile.
