Domestic violence suspect found with loaded gun, drugs in Santa Cruz

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. (KION) A man wanted on domestic violence charges was found with a loaded gun and meth, according to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were searching for 30-year-old Jeffrey Greer from Boulder Creek and found him at around 7 p.m. Wednesday in Santa Cruz. They said they found him in a parked vehicle on Maple Street and arrested him.

Greer was on probation, so deputies searched his car. In the vehicle, deputies said they found a loaded handgun with the serial number filed off and a small amount of meth.

Greer was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail on domestic violence, felon in possession of a gun, possession of meth, possession of narcotics while armed with a gun and altering a gun charges. His bail was set at $25,000.
