Missing Watsonville 12-year-old found safe


UPDATE 11/14/2019 2:15 p.m. Watsonville police said 12-year-old Mary Lopez was found safe.

She was found at Callaghan Park, and police are speaking to her now.

Police said Lopez ran away from home on Tuesday and was last seen leaving a friend’s house on Grant Avenue.

PREVIOUS STORY: Watsonville Police officers are looking for a 12-year-old girl they say ran away from home Tuesday.

Police say Mary Guadalupe Curiel Lopez was last seen leaving a friend’s house on Grant Avenue close to 5:30 p.m., wearing black pants and a black shirt with flowers.

Mary has brown eyes and black hair, is 5’0″ tall and weighs 123 pounds.

If you see her, Watsonville Police ask that you please call 911.
