Arrests, warrants served in Marin County in connection to Orinda Halloween shooting

KION

Law enforcement in Marin County served search warrants and made multiple arrests at an apartment complex, and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office said it is in connection to the Halloween shooting at an Orinda rental home.

Other details about the police activity and arrests are not available yet.

According to the CBS affiliate in the bay Area, police did not respond to noise complaints from neighbors before five people were shot at an Airbnb rental. Officers were reportedly assigned to higher priority calls outside Orinda.

KPIX also said a new report shows that the owners of the rental property had a history of letting renters throw big parties there. At one point, the owners posted on Airbnb that renters could throw parties with up to 30 people at the house, but later changed the advertisement.
