Caltrans asks for feedback about traffic issues on Highway 1
Caltrans is asking for public feedback about traffic along a 100 mile stretch of Highway 1 from Carmel to Hearst Castle.
The agency said the traffic could damage the scenery, so it is asking the public to attend meetings to address the issue.
The first meeting is happening Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rancho Canada Club’s Wedgewood Meeting Center. The other is happening Friday at 10 a.m. at the Pfeiffer Big Sur Lodge Conference Center.
Caltrans said at the meetings, it will discuss a draft Transportation Demand Management plan and receive public comment and feedback.
