Classes in session at school district ahead of planned outages

As more PG&E public safety power shutoffs are expected for Santa Cruz County late Tuesday night, at least one Central Coast school district has announced it will squeeze in one full day of school before it happens.

The San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District says schools will be in session Tuesday before the outage. The district made the announcement Monday night.

Classes were canceled Monday as the area experienced an outage that started on the weekend.
