Sheriff’s Office: Man in Chinatown found with drugs packaged for resale

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Salinas man after deputies said he was found with drugs packaged for resale.

On Tuesday, the Investigations Division went to Salinas’ Chinatown to talk to 56-year-old Mario Anciso and found him near East Lake and Bridge Street.

Deputies said Anciso had heroin and meth packaged for resale, but also a Trek OCLV 5200 road bike.

Anciso was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on an outstanding arrest warrant, several drug charges and probation violation.

The Sheriff’s Office is now looking for the owner of the bike. Anyone who recognizes it is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 831-755-3700.
