Disabled Hollister dog wins spot in global pet calendar contest

Cricket, an adorable 7-year-old Boston Terrier from Hollister has won a spot in the 2020 ‘Walkin’ Pets’ Calendar.

Cricket was born with a deformed spine and very little control over her rear legs and has always struggled with mobility. At the age of 2 she got her wheelchair, and she’s never looked back. Cricket’s mom, Andree Webster says, “Nothing stops Cricket, not even the mighty Columbia River!”

The group says this year’s contest featured the largest number of submissions in the competition’s history with entries from 27 different countries and 35 U.S. states.

All the animals submitted highlight the importance of pet mobility for all, whether furred or feathered.

All proceeds from the 2020 Walkin’ Pets Calendar will be donated to the Handicapped Pets Foundation to help disabled and injured pets in need to get wheelchairs.

The 2020 Walkin’ Pets Calendar is $12.95 and may be pre-ordered by calling (888) 253-0777
