Carmel Valley man arrested in connection to Monterey and San Benito county thefts

A Carmel Valley man was arrested by Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies in connection to recent thefts in Monterey and San Benito counties.

Investigators said 28-year-old Casey Kenyon was found on Sept. 6 at a business in Monterey County removing identifiable markings off a piece of equipment. They said he also had multiple construction tools that were stolen in San Benito County.

On Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office said detectives conducted a traffic stop on Kenyon. They said he had a loaded gun concealed in the vehicle and property that they believe was stolen.

Kenyon was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail on several weapons charges. If the property looks familiar, you are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 831-755-3700.
