Cooking up some fun and food at the 41st Gilroy Garlic Festival
The 41st annual Gilroy Garlic Festival is taking over Christmas Hill Park once again and this year, KION has team coverage of everything going on behind the scenes.
Garlic has been a mainstay over in Gilroy for decades and if you’ve ever taken a drive near the city, the smell is a pretty good indicator as to why.
This year’s garlic festival is expected to celebrate that, with a host of garlic flavored treats and tons of cooking competitions and live entertainment to keep attendees engaged throughout the weekend.
Be mindful, though. If you’re heading out there you can expect a ton of traffic heading into and out of Gilroy.
You can also expect the possibly for heat, too, so try and stay hydrated while out in Gilroy this weekend.
Tickets online are $17.00 for adults and kids under the age of 9 get in for free. Some discounts are available for seniors and military so check out the Garlic Festival Website for that information.
If you try to buy tickets at the gate, expect to spend more: Prices for adults are $20.
Parking at one of the designated lots is $15, with a free shuttle service to and from the Garlic Festival.
