Preliminary hearing set for former AD 30 candidate Kitchens

Neil Kitchens, the 2018 Republican candidate for Assembly District 30, appeared in court Tuesday morning.

The purpose of Tuesday’s appearance was to set a date for Kitchens’ preliminary hearing. That is now set for the second week of August.

Kitchens is facing two counts of voter registration fraud and three counts of procuring and offering a false or forged instrument. If he is found guilty, he could face three years and eight months in prison.

Kitchens’ lawyer said his client does not have a comment for KION.
