Man arrested outside Sand City Costco for having gun, drugs

A man was arrested outside the Sand City Costco and charged with distribution of a controlled substance and being a felon in possession of a gun.

Sand City police say Zachary Gunner Kirk was loitering near the store’s entrance on Sunday. He was arrested, and officers found a loaded fully automatic unregistered gun in his waistband, a half ounce of meth and heroin, a digital scale and cash.

Kirk was booked into the Monterey County Jail.
