DUI suspect causes Cabrillo College alert

An alert was sent out to people at Cabrillo College, Friday, after a DUI suspect ran through campus.

California Highway Patrol says that a 50-year-old Ben Lomond woman crashed into a fence on Soquel Drive near the Aptos campus and ran away, leaving an injured passenger in her car.

When the suspect ran onto campus, school administrators sent an alert for people to look for the woman. CHP says the suspect was found hiding in trees by a Cabrillo College employee.

The suspect was arrested for felony DUI and hit-and-run.
