Monterey police announce road closures ahead of Fourth of July parade

Monterey police say there will be road closures for the Fourth of July parade on Thursday.

It will be held in downtown Monterey, and multiple streets will be closed for the parade itself and the lawn party that follows.

The following streets will be closed:

Pacific between Madison and Jefferson Madison between Pacific and Hartnell Hartnell between Cass and Polk Webster between Cass and Hartnell Polk between Hartnell and Alvarado Alvarado between Pearl and Del Monte Del Monte between Tyler and Pacific Calle Principal between Del Monte and Jefferson

The closures will start at 6 a.m. and will reopen at the end of the parade. Pacific will remain closed during the lawn party.
