Watsonville police investigating fatal stabbing Saturday night

Watsonville police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened just before 11 p.m. Saturday night.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Carnation Drive and found the victim, a 27-year-old man, in the road with multiple stab wounds. They tried to give aid, but he died at the scene.

Officers canvassed the area for witnesses, surveillance cameras and any other evidence at the scene.

Dectectives do not know if the murder is gang related, and they are still trying to contact more witnesses.
