Non-emergency lines down in Monterey County

Monterey County Communications’ non-emergency lines are down.

A technical issue is impacting the phone lines at the Emergency Communications Center.

Crews are working to address the issue but residents can use temporary numbers for police and fire.

This is for non-emergency services only, it does not impact 911 service.

Monterey County’s Emergency Communications Center has given these temporary numbers for residents who may need to reach their local police or fire department for a non-emergency event.

If you need to file a police report, many local agencies let you do it online. Below are a list of temporary numbers you can also call:

– Peninsula/Carmel Valley/Big Sur 831-796-1803

– Salinas/North Monterey County 831-796-1804

– South Monterey County 831-796-1806
