Newborn baby found alive in a Stockton dumpster

A baby boy has been found alive in a Stockton dumpster.

Stockton police say he was found just before noon on Tuesday after someone saw it wrapped up and called police.

The newborn boy was taken to the hospital, but doing well. He is now in the custody of child protective services.

Police say they found the baby’s teenage mother near the scene. She was also taken to the hospital.
