Pedestrian dies after hit and run crash in San Martin
A transient pedestrian has died after a hit and run crash in San Martin.
It happened Tuesday at around 9:30 p.m. when the CHP says the pedestrian was hit on Monterey Road south of Cox Avenue.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office and Santa Clara County Fire crews responded, but the man was found dead on the road. They say he died of the injuries he sustained from the unknown vehicle.
Investigators think the driver left the scene and went northbound on Monterey Road. The identity of the victim will not be released until he has been identified and his family has been notified.
