Soledad police K-9 Bailey has died
One of the first K-9s with Soledad police has died. In a social media post, police say she, “has left our world and gone to serve in Heaven in the company of other past warriors.”
K-9 Bailey started with Soledad police in 2012 and was assigned to Sergeant Lionel Munguia. She has helped with special operations, and those led to arrests for drugs and felony crimes.
The South Monterey County communications dispatcher broadcast a message. They said, “K-9 Bailey started her career in 2012 with the Soledad Police Department and was immediatley welcomed to the force. K-9 Bailey was assigned to K-9 Handler Sgt Lionel Munguia for patrol duties. Throughout her career, K-9 Bailey was part of special operations throughout the City and South Monterey County which lead to various arrests for narcotics and felony crimes. Today, K-9 Bailey ended her watch and will be missed greatly. K-9 Bailey thank you for your service, dedication and loyalty.”
