Monterey County murder suspect arrested in Fresno

A Salinas man wanted for murder was arrested in the Fresno area this week.

According to the Fresno Police Department, 30-year-old Miguel Beltran was caught by the Downtown Policing Unit in the area of Fresno and E Street.

Police said an officer spotted a suspicious vehicle parked at a gas station and discovered the car was stolen through a check of the license plate. The vehicle was stolen from Salinas a week ago.

Beltran was found inside the car and was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to police, during a warrant check, the officer learned Beltran had a warrant for murder in Monterey County.

Beltran was booked into the Fresno County Jail.
