Man found with stolen truck and burglary tools arrested in Salinas

A man found with a stolen pickup truck, burglary tools and drugs was arrested by Salinas police.

Just before 5 a.m. Monday, an officer saw a stolen Nissan pickup truck driving in the area of Commission Street and Sun Street. The officer stopped the truck and arrested the driver, Octavio Salas.

Inside the truck, police found burglary tools and 6.7 grams of meth. Salas was booked into the Monterey County Jail, and the truck was returned to its owner.
