Arrests made in two Salinas burglaries

Salinas police have made arrests in connection to two burglaries, one in the area of Stratford Court and the other at Harden Middle School.

On Tuesday at around 9:50 a.m., police responded to the area around Stratford Court after a witness reported seeing a suspicious person putting on rubber gloves before jumping over a fence.

The suspects tried to run away by jumping fences, but witnesses helped police track them down. Ramiro Sanchez, 27, and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested.

Just after midnight Thursday morning, officers responded to an alarm activation at Harden Middle School. Officers saw three suspects running away from the school grounds and confirmed that a burglary had happened.

Neighbors reported suspicious people jumping fences and knocking on doors, so officers set up a perimiter and found two of the three suspects.

Police arrested two juveniles, a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old. They were charged with burglary, conspiracy and vandalism and taken to juvenile hall. Police are still looking for the third suspect.
