Mushrooms and butane equipment seized in Soquel
Multiple people have been arrested following a months-long investigation after officers were told someone was dealing narcotics on the UCSC campus.
UCSC Police say Tuesday morning they executed search warrants at a home in the 3500 block of Chardonnay Road in Soquel.
Inside officers found over 30 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms, LSD, MDA and equipment to manufacture butane hash oil.
The investigation started in January when the department received reports about a man dealing narcotics on the school campus and around the county.
Four people were detained and 3 were arrested for various narcotics charges and conspiracy to distribute narcotics. Another was arrested for posession of equipment to manufacture butane hash oil.
KION’s Ashley Keehn will have more on this tonight at 5 and 6.
