All lanes back open after big rig rollover crash on Highway 17
UPDATE 9:08 p.m.: All lanes are back open on Highway 17 after a big rig crash Tuesday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the lanes reopened at 8:30 p.m.
The big rig was headed southbound on Highway One from southbound Highway 17 when it flipped at the Fish Hook.
The truck was hauling garbage which spilled out onto the highway and the cleanup added to the delay.
Drivers said crashes like this are pretty common with the steep curve of the Fish Hook.
UPDATE 5:46 p.m. The California Highway Patrol says all lanes on Highway 17 won’t be open until 10 p.m. after a big rig crash.
One southbound lane is expected to be open by 8 p.m.

The CHP says they are investigating a crash where a trailer rolled over on the ramp from soutbound 17 to southbound 1.The big rig was carrying garbage.
A 45-year-old man sustained minor injuries while driving the trailer.
As of 3:00, officers believe it will be backed up for another 4 hours.
